The Agora Borealis has been a place of great joy and peace for me for years.

If I remember correctly, Katy Larsen (owner of The Agora Borealis) and I got connected when she had a huge yardsale in the space connected to The Agora Borealis, her art market. She is such a sweet friend and HUGE supporter of the Shreveport community, specifically all us artists. She’s seriously one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met!

Being near her just brings calm and joy!

I think the most incredible thing about her is her light. She is genuinely one of the best people on this planet and her love is seriously an outpouring!

Covid 19 has everyone stressing and anxious. It’s crashed the entire world's plans, which is kinda wild to think about.

But one thing that isn’t stopping worldwide, babies being born.

Man, babies come when they want to and they do NOT care about our plans. It’s one of the most beautiful realities we have.

Sometimes though, babies don’t come when they want. Sometimes they come via induction or cesarean.

Then there’s the fact that cesarean rates and maternal death rates in the USA are higher than any other developed country and maternal death is on the rise (1, 2). Also, higher infant mortality is associated with higher cesarean section rates (3).
