Momma, everyone always says the days are long and the years are short.
While that doesn’t help when you’re about to lose your mind because you are SO spent. It is true and it helps me to refocus and know that today might suck, but this moment is short. It will pass. They will not always be driving me insane. Just a week ago we were playing, laughing, and snuggling more than we were crying and sighing.
In those moments of insanity, I love looking up at our walls and seeing our portraits. They are not perfectly posed. There’s one of my toddler as a baby with all his silly faces, including him screaming because I put him on the chair for the photo.
They are perfect. All the realness and wild on my walls, in perfect imperfection. They are photographed in a way that is artful, but still so real.
That is what I want for you. We all deserve that.
