Ms K’s Rave Review Shows How Empowering Boudoir with KAP can be During Hardship | Shreveport Boudoir Photography

Y'all. I love my clients!!!

I especially love when clients make me cry!!!

Ms. K has chosen to remain anonymous but allowed me to share photos that do not identify her.

I received this review about 2 months after Ms K’s session. I very clearly remembered her session and my worry that I had maybe not reacted the best to her news. Not because I thought I reacted poorly, I just didn’t know really.

Ms K emailed me a few months before her session was set to occur to tell me some news. She was pregnant!. She was sharing the news with me because she was a little concerned about her bump showing, but overall she was just excited to share the news with me, especially since I had just announced I was pregnant! It was so exciting really!

We were going to be pregnant together for her session! Woo hoo for pregnant ladies doing boudoir! #EmpoweringAndAwesome

But, come the day of her session, she let me know she'd lost the baby and my heart dropped!
I remember being terrified I was gonna not be kind enough or be too sad or too mushy or say the wrong thing.

Here I was, pregnant, showing, struggling to get up and down to get certain angles, complaining about my exhaustion, etc. while she had lost her baby.

I was trying so hard to not accidentally rub it in that I was pregnant, but it was really hard because I was so very pregnant and kept talking about it. I kept thinking “Oh my God, shut UP she doesn’t need to be reminded that you are pregnant!”

So, I really thought I had maybe not handled it well.

I just tried to comfort her without letting it put a cloud on her happy day! I mean, she booked this session for herself, so I wanted to keep it happy and I made a point to ensure we *celebrated* her.

I desperately wanted her to feel loved that day! I even told her that that was all the more reason to enjoy her session!

So, when I got this message from my review questionnaire I sent her, I just started crying! I honestly didn't expect this or think I'd managed to do exactly what I was trying to do!

My clients are the greatest and I adore y'all so much. I'm glad I get to be part of your story, even if only for a moment!

"My favorite part was your patience. I've always hesitated to do something nice for myself and focus on me. Your patience and sympathy as I worked through my emotions having just experienced a miscarriage shortly before the shoot was incredible as we've never met before. You were dealing with your own pregnancy related emotions and changes but still comforted me just enough that didn't make me feel like i was at a pity party and helped me enjoy the day."
